2024 was an extraordinary year for Singapore Luxury Homes (SLH), filled with exciting milestones, impactful contributions, and inspiring moments.
The year began with us being ranked as the 15th top brokers among 11,000 at PropNex. We were deeply honoured to be recognised and knew it would set the tone for the year ahead. In March, Sunita Gill, our COO, made history as the first ‘Millionaire’ Indian female real estate broker in Singapore, cementing her leadership in the industry. April brought another accolade: Sunita was honoured with the Champion of Top Manager award at Propnex, showcasing her leadership and real estate management excellence.
SLH is also proud to have helped advance women’s empowerment and financial literacy within our industry this year. Sunita’s journey was celebrated during Property Guru’s International Women’s Day campaign, inspiring women to build their real estate empires. She continued to contribute to the conversation on financial empowerment as an author of the book, Why Women Don’t Talk Money, and participated in a fireside chat with co-authors Anthonia Hui and Jed Emerson on the purpose of wealth and how we talk about it.
Sunita also shared her insights at a panel discussion on ‘Women in Leadership: Leading with Purpose,’ organised by NUS Women in Business. On top of her professional contributions, Sunita also cares deeply about the community, hosting a Mother’s Day celebration with her group of mom-realtors and fostering support and camaraderie among women in real estate.
Global engagement was a recurring theme for us in 2024. We attended key events like the grand opening of DAMAC Properties’ Singapore office, the Dubai Real Estate market overview, and the Vietnam Real Estate Investment Forum, emphasising our continued focus on international expansion.
In October, we participated in high-profile events such as the Middle East Asia Summit, hosted by the UAE Business Council and First Abu Dhabi Bank, and Investopia Global, co-hosted by the UAE Ministry of Economy. These platforms allowed SLH to deepen its connections and broaden its influence across markets.
Giving back to the community was integral to SLH’s 2024 journey. Sunita and Kaizar Karkaria, our CEO, supported the Magic Bus Gala in March, supporting education and skill development for underprivileged children in India. October saw further philanthropic efforts as Sunita attended the Thank You Diwali dinner hosted by Magic Bus and organised a High Tea Diwali event for her community, both a celebration of the year and a charitable event.
SLH solidified its position as a thought leader through numerous appearances in media and public discussions. In September, Sunita and Kaizar were interviewed on SPH Radio’s Evening Runway, sharing their expertise on luxury real estate. Their media features extended to The Straits Times, Tatler Singapore and UAE Times Now, where their journey and achievements were prominently showcased.
Sunita also participated in unique networking opportunities, such as a meeting with Sarah Jane Ho, Emmy-nominated host of Mind Your Manners, and engagements with influential figures like Alex Ikonn, co-founder of The Five Minute Journal.
Beyond professional endeavours, SLH celebrated key cultural and personal moments. Highlights included Eva and Nikita’s Navjote ceremony in August and their participation in vibrant celebrations like the HSBC Diwali party, vLookUp’s third anniversary, UltraLuxe opening in October.
The year concluded with Sunita attending the Epic Angel Collective event, celebrating female investors making a difference in Asia. As SLH reflects on a year filled with milestones, growth, and meaningful contributions, the team looks forward to building on these successes for an even more impactful 2025.
